Zoe: a Year Later

While we've managed to post some pictures of Zoe in the last few months, we have not written much about her. The last few months have been filled with amazing developments. Zoe started walking on December 17. By the end of 2008, she was reasonably mobile. Now, she runs all around the house, dashing from toy to toy or running from one person to another. She was doing well at her one-year check-up.
Zoe is a veracious eater: she is happy to eat almost anything and she enjoys eating. She's also an incredibly happy baby. She is very secure; whenever she sees strangers she will try and meet and play with them. She is quite independent for her age: while she's happy to play with someone, she will also play by herself for a fairly long time, especially if there is someone else in the room watching her.
This month, Z_Zoe finally got her own bedroom. She had been sleeping in our living room until Gwen moved into a place of her own. Once that happened, Zoe took over Rachel's old room and Rachel moved into Gwen's old room. Zoe adjusted to her new room quickly; she seems to like it, and we appreciate not worrying about the dogs or people coming in waking her up.
