Zoe is six months old today. She couldn't be a happier baby or have parents who are more excited to have her. In the last week Zoe really seems to have grasped how much neater the world would be if she could move around in it. In the last couple of days she has been making strides in that direction, rolling around and flopping herself along to get somewhere. This morning she was very excited to move a short distance and grab one of her toys, a little bug. She then tried to move around, continuing to hold the bug in her hands. She is definitely able to move around enough that we're going to need to be careful of what is around her and what she's doing.
Zoe continues to grow and develop in other ways. She's eating fruits and vegetables now; she loves eating. We have a walker for her. There certainly are dangers to not giving kids enough time moving around on their own. However the walker seems to let Zoe explore her environment in ways that she's just not physically ready for yet. She's so happy being able to zoom around the kitchen and be part of our life that it seems like it is clearly good for her.
